Hearing loss isn’t something that can be solved with a one-size-fits-all treatment. There are multiple types of hearing loss, and people can be affected at different severities. Some people may have difficulties hearing in all environments, and others might mainly struggle to hear conversations in crowded rooms.

Because everyone has unique needs, our team at Wisconsin Hearing Aids, Inc. will make sure your hearing aids are best suited for your lifestyle. We’ll go through this process together. You aren’t on your own.

What to Expect During a Hearing Aid Fitting

Couple Receiving Hearing Aid Counseling From An Audiologist During a Fitting

From the start of the process, our team will help you make the most of your hearing aids. Like any partnership, first, we’ll take the time to get to know one another. Along with sharing our specialties, we’ll talk about your lifestyle and needs to ensure we provide the best technology for you. No matter what sounds are in your world, we want to be sure you hear them.

We’ll schedule a fitting after your comprehensive hearing assessment and begin fitting by looking at different hearing aid models with features that best match your degree of hearing loss and lifestyle needs.

Once you’ve selected your ideal hearing technology, we will ensure it properly fits your ears before programming them based on your hearing tests.

If you choose hearing aids that fit inside your ear, we will create a custom-fit earmold to ensure maximum comfort and efficacy. This process involves using a sort compound to create an impression of the inside of your ear.

Our commitment to supporting your hearing loss treatment doesn’t stop after the first appointment. We’ll meet for several follow-up sessions to discuss:

  • How your hearing devices are working
  • Communication strategies
  • Questions, concerns or troubleshooting issues

Down the line, if concerns about your hearing aids come up or they aren’t working like they used to, we’ll guide you through that process as well. Our connection won’t end after your first few appointments.
